Since 1996

Our restaurant was open in 1996, following the renovation of a Sal Costa warehouse. The first branch was located on Calle Llull 32 in Barcelona, in a traditional industrial building in Poble Nou. Since the beginning, we’ve been able to maintain enthusiasm for doing a first class job and ensuring a cosy and welcoming environment.
That place was so big, you could cycle in on your bike - remember?!
Pedalling patiently, we’ve been able to grow and adjust to changing times in Barcelona, with the help of all our customers, who have rewarded and confirmed "Els Pollos" growth. We accept the challenge on a daily basis: to pay back your faith in us.


WHY IS OUR CHICKEN DIFFERENT?

It is roast chicken, marinated with our mix of spices and chopped apple, while turned, with white wine and olive oil.


    You can choose from:
  • CHICKEN, which weights approximately 1 kg.

  • CHICKEN OF TIMES GONE BY, weighting one and a half kilos from a farm in Lleida. This chicken is free range, and raised like those of yesteryear.

  • ORGANIC CHICKEN, certified and much larger - 2.5 kg. Raised in Folgueroles according to ‘Viu Bé’(good living) standards.
Roast chicken is the restaurant’s signature dish, as expected.
Add a side dish by choosing from a range of salads, which you’ll love!
Escalivada, grilled vegetables, rice or potatoes “al caliu” (over coals): another good choice.
We can’t do without pasta, and that’s why we have cannelloni and lasagna. And croquettes, if you feel like ordering some.
Some of our desserts: cottage cheese sheet of Fonteta, ice cream sandwich and bread with olive oil and chocolate.
